Family of Alleged Fitna al-Hindustan Militant Usman Publicly Disowns Him

QUETTA: The family of an alleged militant identified as Usman has publicly disowned him, expressing their complete dissociation from his actions and activities, according to statements made at the Turbat Press Club.

Usman’s mother stated that he had voluntarily separated himself from his family some time ago. She said that although he later attempted to contact her, she refused to speak with him.

“Neither I, my husband, nor Usman’s siblings have any kind of relationship with him,” she said, adding that he alone is responsible for his personal decisions and actions.

She further clarified that the family has no connection whatsoever with any of his alleged activities and should not be associated with them.

The statement comes amid reports highlighting that some families of individuals accused of involvement with militant groups have publicly distanced themselves from their relatives’ alleged actions.

Authorities and security sources in Pakistan use the terms “Fitna al-Hindustan” and “Fitna al-Khawarij” to refer to certain militant groups and their members. The characterization of these groups in this report reflects the terminology used by Pakistani official sources.
