JUI-F Spokesperson Says Peaceful Protest at GHQ Is a Democratic Right

ISLAMABAD:Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) spokesperson **Aslam Ghauri** has said that holding a peaceful protest outside the General Headquarters (GHQ) is not impossible and that his party will continue to express its demands and concerns through democratic and non-violent means.

Speaking during a television program, Ghauri said GHQ is a national institution and questioned why citizens could not peacefully voice their concerns there. He stressed that JUI-F believes in political dialogue and peaceful protest rather than violence or the use of force.

Commenting on the country’s political situation, Ghauri also criticized several government-linked political figures, including **Ayesha Gulalai, Hina Parvez Butt, Aoun Chaudhry, Maulana Tahir Ashrafi,** and **Fayyaz-ul-Hassan Chohan**, making derogatory remarks about their political role.
He added that senior JUI-F leader **Maulana Abdul Ghafoor Haideri** had previously spoken about the possibility of protesting at GHQ in the same political context.
