Peaceful Sit-in for Restoration of District Offices in Sherani Enters 111th Day

SHERANI: A peaceful sit-in demanding the restoration of district offices and the full functioning of the district administration in Sherani entered its 111th day on Monday, with protesters reaffirming their commitment to continue the campaign until their demands are met.

The demonstration is being held at the Sherani district headquarters in Mir Ali Khel (Satno Ragha), where participants are calling for the restoration of public services, the effective functioning of district institutions, and the implementation of court orders regarding government offices.

In a joint statement, the protesters said their only demand is that the people of Sherani receive their constitutional and legal rights, including access to essential government services within their own district.

They said the lack of fully operational government offices has forced residents to travel elsewhere even for routine official matters, causing unnecessary hardship, delays, and financial burdens.

The protesters urged the Government of Balochistan and relevant authorities to immediately implement court directives by making all district offices fully functional, ensuring the permanent presence of officers and staff, and providing essential public services at the local level.

They also called on the government to resume long-delayed development projects in the district without further delay.

Reaffirming their resolve, the participants stated that the movement would remain peaceful, constitutional, and democratic, adding that they would continue their struggle with unity and discipline until the full restoration of public rights and district institutions.
