Balochistan IG Directs Newly Appointed DSPs to Adopt Modern Policing and Improve Public Service
QUETTA: Inspector General of Police (IGP) Balochistan Mohammad Tahir has instructed newly appointed Deputy Superintendents of Police (DSPs) to implement modern policing practices and improve public service delivery to provide timely relief to citizens.
He made the remarks while addressing an introductory meeting of newly recruited DSPs, appointed through the Balochistan Public Service Commission (BPSC), at the Central Police Office in Quetta.
The IGP said effective implementation of modern policing can ensure prompt relief for the public and help strengthen the positive image of the police, creating a greater sense of security among citizens.
He emphasized that supervisory officers are responsible for ensuring better performance from their subordinate staff. He urged the newly appointed officers to play a stronger leadership role so that justice could be delivered more efficiently and public complaints addressed without delay.
Mohammad Tahir also directed the officers to follow the principles of smart policing and community policing, utilizing all available resources to improve public services and combat crime. He said such measures would further strengthen public confidence in the police force.
The IGP stressed that timely action is essential for preventing crime and fulfilling the responsibilities entrusted to the police.
During the meeting, the newly appointed officers reaffirmed their commitment to serving the public, protecting the lives and property of citizens, and ensuring the rule of law. The session was also attended by DIG Headquarters Hassan Asad Alvi, DIG Quetta عمران Shaukat, and other senior police officials.
