Punjab and Balochistan Governments United on Public Welfare, Peace, and Development: CM Maryam Nawaz and CM Mir Sarfaraz Bugti

Quetta: Punjab Chief Minister Mian Maryam Nawaz on Tuesday visited Quetta for her first official trip to Balochistan, meeting with Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfaraz Bugti, the provincial cabinet, and allied party members. She condemned recent terrorist attacks in the province and assured full support from the Punjab government.

Addressing the Balochistan leadership, CM Maryam Nawaz praised the measures taken by CM Bugti for public welfare, peace, and sustainable development, calling them a source of long-term stability. She expressed appreciation for the dedication, sacrifices, and unwavering loyalty of the people of Balochistan toward Pakistan, highlighting their historic contributions to national unity and security.

“The Punjab government stands with Balochistan at every level. Eliminating the menace of terrorism is only possible through national unity, collective resolve, and mutual cooperation,” she said. She added that her heartfelt desire is to see sustainable peace, political stability, and economic prosperity in Balochistan.

Welcoming CM Maryam Nawaz, CM Bugti said her visit exemplifies the brotherhood, trust, and inter-provincial harmony between Punjab and Balochistan. He praised Punjab’s timely support of PKR 10 billion for security forces, calling it a positive and commendable step that demonstrates national resolve and unity against terrorism.

CM Bugti emphasized that both government and opposition in Balochistan are united on a shared agenda of public welfare, peace, and development. “All institutions and political forces are working together to tackle the challenges facing the province,” he said.

He thanked CM Maryam Nawaz for her goodwill and support, noting that the resources provided would strengthen the professional capacity of security forces and significantly assist in the fight against terrorism. CM Bugti reaffirmed Balochistan’s determination to completely eradicate terrorism and ensure lasting peace in the province.
