Sher Afzal Marwat Criticizes PTI Leadership, Says Dissenting Voices Are Being Marginalized

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Member of Parliament Sher Afzal Marwat has criticized his party’s leadership, alleging that it has abandoned both grassroots workers and senior leaders while creating an environment where dissenting opinions are discouraged.

In a video statement, Marwat claimed that PTI had left everyone from ordinary party workers to senior leaders, including Shah Mahmood Qureshi and Dr. Yasmin Rashid, without adequate support.

Referring to the November 26 incidents, he alleged that party workers arrested in connection with the events are still fighting their legal cases on their own. According to Marwat, the party has neither provided effective legal assistance nor raised a strong voice in their support.

He further claimed that a culture has developed within PTI in which members expressing differing opinions are sidelined and marginalized.

PTI has not immediately responded publicly to Marwat’s latest remarks.
