Intense Heat Persists Across Balochistan as Nok Kundi Records 46°C
QUETTA: Most districts of Balochistan are expected to remain hot and dry, with intense heat continuing across the province, according to the Pakistan Meteorological Department.
The department reported that Nok Kundi recorded the highest temperature in the province at 46°C, making it the hottest city of the day.
Other maximum temperatures recorded included 44°C in Sibi, 40°C in Turbat, 39°C in Quetta and Chaman, 35°C in Zhob, 33°C in Kalat, 31°C in Gwadar, 30°C in Jiwani, and 24°C in Ziarat.
The Meteorological Department has advised residents to avoid unnecessary exposure to direct sunlight during peak hours, stay well-hydrated, and take precautionary measures to protect children, the elderly, and people working outdoors from the effects of extreme heat.
