Punjab Approves Subsidized Car Scheme for Judicial Officers

Islamabad: The Chief Justice of the Lahore High Court has approved a new scheme under which judicial officers in Punjab will be able to purchase government vehicles at heavily subsidized prices ranging from Rs250,000 to Rs350,000.
According to an official circular, the initiative falls under the Transport Monetization Facility and will benefit approximately 2,000 judicial officers across the province.
The scheme covers District and Sessions Judges, Additional District and Sessions Judges, Senior Civil Judges, Civil Judges, and Family Court Judges.
Judges serving in Anti-Terrorism Courts, Accountability Courts, Banking Courts, FIA Courts, Anti-Narcotics Courts, Customs Courts, and Labour Courts will also be eligible for the facility.
In addition, officers of the Punjab Judiciary currently serving on deputation in the Supreme Court of Pakistan, Islamabad High Court, Constitutional Court, and other institutions will also be entitled to benefit from the scheme.
