Pakistan Armed Forces Are Our Red Line, Says Bilawal Bhutto Zardari

Muzaffarabad: Chairman of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, has said that the Pakistan Armed Forces are the nation’s “red line” and that no voice raised against the military from Kashmir will be tolerated.

Addressing a party meeting in Muzaffarabad, Bilawal stated that respect and support for the armed forces are non-negotiable. He emphasized that any rhetoric directed against the Pakistan Army from Azad Jammu and Kashmir is unacceptable.

He said that the Pakistan Peoples Party has always stood for protecting and granting the rights of the people, while accusing other political forces of seeking to deprive citizens of their rights.

Bilawal also stressed that peaceful protest is a fundamental democratic right, but warned that violence cannot be permitted under any circumstances.

Referring to Pakistan’s political history, he remarked that the people of Karachi have not forgotten how Altaf Hussain’s politics in the 1990s adversely affected the city’s peace, development, and the daily lives of its residents. He added that he does not wish to see similar politics take root in Azad Jammu and Kashmir.

Bilawal Bhutto Zardari arrived in Muzaffarabad a day earlier as part of the Pakistan Peoples Party’s election campaign in Azad Jammu and Kashmir. He was received by the Prime Minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Faisal Rathore, along with party leaders and supporters.

The PPP chairman is currently visiting the region to participate in political activities and campaign events ahead of the elections.
