Blasphemy Case: Will Rajab Butt Get Relief from the Sindh High Court?

Karachi: An important development has emerged in the blasphemy case registered against Pakistani YouTuber Rajab Butt, as the Sindh High Court has reserved its verdict on his petition seeking the dismissal of the case.

During the hearing, Rajab Butt did not appear before the court in person. The court reserved its decision on the petition, which is expected to be announced later today.

While hearing the matter, the court questioned the maintainability of the petition and remarked, “Your client’s case is already pending before the trial court, so why have you approached this court? If the accused is on bail, he should appear before the relevant court.”

According to the prosecution, a blasphemy case has been registered against Rajab Butt at the Hyderi Market Police Station in Karachi. The case was filed on the complaint of Advocate Riaz Solangi.

The Sindh High Court’s ruling on Rajab Butt’s petition is now awaited and will determine whether he receives any legal relief in the matter.
