Bangladesh Floods and Landslides Kill 44 as Thousands Remain Stranded

At least 44 people have been killed in landslides and other rain-related incidents after days of heavy rainfall and flooding in Bangladesh, authorities said.
According to Bangladeshi officials, seven districts in the country’s southeastern region have been severely affected, with more than 200,000 people stranded by floodwaters.
The military and emergency rescue teams are carrying out relief operations in the affected areas. However, widespread power outages, damaged roads, and disrupted communication networks are hampering rescue and relief efforts.
