National Party Says Road Closures After Jiwani Coast Guard Check Post Blast Have Isolated Residents

Quetta: The National Party (NP) has expressed concern over the closure of entry and exit routes in the Panjwan area of Jiwani following the recent explosion at a Pakistan Coast Guards check post, saying the restrictions have left local residents facing severe hardships.
In a statement, the party’s central spokesperson said the road closures have effectively isolated the area, creating significant difficulties for ordinary citizens in their daily lives.
The spokesperson acknowledged that maintaining law and order and protecting the lives and property of citizens are the government’s responsibilities. However, the party argued that measures resulting in what it described as the collective suffering of civilians are not appropriate.
The National Party urged the authorities to adopt security measures that ensure public safety while minimizing disruption to the daily lives of local residents. The statement called for a balanced approach that addresses security concerns without imposing unnecessary hardship on the civilian population.
