IG Balochistan Orders High-Tech Security Measures to Protect Banks and Account Holders

Quetta: Inspector General of Police Muhammad Tahir has announced a major initiative to enhance the security of private banks in Balochistan using modern technology and equipment, warning that bank robbers will no longer escape detection.

Speaking at a high-level meeting at the Central Police Office in Quetta, IG Tahir emphasized the importance of installing and effectively using advanced security systems to ensure the safety of banks and their account holders. The session was attended by Additional IG Javed Ali Mehr, DIG Quetta Imran Shaukat, AIG Operations Fazil Shah, SSP Quetta Muhammad Asif Khan, and heads of provincial banks.

The meeting focused on ensuring the continuous functionality of modern security equipment, proper training of security guards, and the effective use of CCTV cameras. IG Tahir also instructed measures to secure ATMs, increase mobile patrols, and establish direct communication with local police stations during emergencies.

It was decided that only well-trained personnel meeting strict standards will be deployed as bank security guards, reflecting a strong commitment to modernizing and strengthening financial security across the province.
