Former Balochistan CM Aslam Raisani Condemns Decision to Shift Mastung to Quetta Division

Quetta: Former Balochistan Chief Minister Nawab Muhammad Aslam Raisani has condemned the provincial government’s decision to remove Mastung District from Kalat Division and include it in Quetta Division, calling the move non-consultative and contrary to the wishes of the local population.
In a statement posted on the social media platform X, Raisani said the government’s decision was made without consulting the people and did not reflect the aspirations of the residents of Mastung.
He stated that the decision to alter the administrative status of the district was unacceptable and pledged to pursue all peaceful and constitutional means to have Mastung restored to Kalat Division.
Raisani emphasized that he and his supporters would continue their political and legal efforts to reverse the government’s decision, asserting that the concerns and preferences of the people of Mastung should be respected in any administrative restructuring.
