Rawalpindi: Chief of Defence Forces and Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir has said that Pakistan’s armed forces are fully aware of the activities of hostile intelligence agencies and vowed that all attempts by proxy groups backed by external forces would be defeated.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Field Marshal Asim Munir made the remarks during a visit to the National Defence University (NDU), where he addressed graduating officers of the National Security and War Course. Officers from all three branches of Pakistan’s armed forces participated in the course.

During his address, the army chief highlighted the changing nature of modern warfare and expressed confidence in the operational readiness, capabilities, and high morale of the armed forces. He said institutions such as the NDU play a vital role in preparing future military and civilian leaders to tackle hybrid threats.
