Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif Meets Qatari Counterpart to Invite Investment in Various Sectors

Doha: Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif met with Qatari Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani to discuss bilateral relations, trade, and investment opportunities. The meeting took place in Doha, where both leaders emphasized the importance of enhancing cooperation in the energy and cultural sectors.
During the discussions, Prime Minister Sharif acknowledged Qatar’s contributions to Pakistan’s economic development and reiterated the commitment to strengthening economic ties between the two nations. They both stressed the need for peaceful solutions and mutual cooperation to address challenges in the region.
Prime Minister Sharif also commended Qatar’s humanitarian initiatives and diplomatic efforts, highlighting the country’s role in facilitating negotiations and seeking fair resolutions to regional conflicts. The Qatari Prime Minister expressed his desire to enhance relations with Pakistan, recognizing the country’s strategic significance and advocating for collaboration in promoting peace in the region, including Afghanistan.
Both leaders agreed to continue high-level exchanges to identify new areas for development. Prime Minister Sharif invited Qatari investors to explore opportunities in Pakistan’s agriculture, information technology, and tourism sectors. He assured the Qatari Prime Minister of the Pakistani government’s commitment to creating a conducive environment for foreign investors.
