Nida Yasir Urges Tourists to Keep Pakistan’s Northern Areas Clean After Trekking Experience

Karachi: Pakistani actress and television host Nida Yasir has criticized tourists for littering in Pakistan’s northern areas, urging visitors to help preserve the country’s natural beauty.
Speaking on her morning show after returning from a trip to the northern regions, Yasir shared that she experienced trekking for the first time and described it as both physically demanding and rewarding.
She said the trek lasted around four and a half hours and included both uphill and downhill climbs. Despite the challenge, she described the destination as “a piece of paradise” because of its breathtaking scenery.
However, Yasir expressed disappointment over the amount of plastic waste she encountered during the trip.
“I was saddened to see plastic litter scattered across such a beautiful place,” she said, urging tourists to dispose of their waste responsibly and keep tourist destinations clean.
The television host added that she had witnessed similar littering in Murree, questioning why people fail to appreciate and protect the natural landscapes they have been blessed with.
Yasir emphasized that preserving Pakistan’s scenic destinations is essential for promoting tourism and supporting the country’s economy, calling on both tourists and local communities to take greater responsibility for environmental cleanliness.
