Council of Islamic Ideology Convenes Key Meeting Tomorrow, Four-Point Agenda Issued

Islamabad: The Council of Islamic Ideology (CII) has convened an important meeting for tomorrow and released a four-point agenda covering several legal and religious matters.
According to an official statement, the council will review the Federal Shariat Court’s judgment regarding suicide and discuss its legal and religious implications.
The meeting will also consider the Islamabad High Court’s verdict in the Amara Waqas case.
In addition, members will deliberate on the Family Laws Bill 2016, introduced by Member of the National Assembly Sharmila Faruqui, as well as the issue of corneal donation and transplantation.
The Council of Islamic Ideology is expected to examine these matters from constitutional and Islamic legal perspectives before formulating its recommendations.
