Woman Allegedly Killed by Cousin in Khairpur Over Dispute Linked to Marriage Choice; Suspect Surrenders

Khairpur: A married woman was allegedly shot dead by her cousin in Khairpur, with the suspect later surrendering himself to the police, according to initial investigation reports.

Police said the victim had previously left her home to marry a man of her own choice. However, her family reportedly opposed the marriage and allegedly pressured her husband into separating from her. She was later married to another man.

According to investigators, the woman was unhappy with the second marriage and wanted to return to her first husband. Police believe this dispute may have led to the fatal incident.

Following the killing, the suspect voluntarily turned himself in to law enforcement authorities.
