Karachi: Woman Allegedly Assaulted at Home on Pretext of Work, Main Suspect Granted Bail
Karachi (Kudrat Daily) — A woman in Karachi’s Surjani Town has alleged that she was sexually assaulted after being called to a neighbor’s house on the pretext of sewing work, while the main suspect has reportedly secured bail after registration of a case.
According to police and FIR details, the incident took place in December last year when the complainant was allegedly called by a neighbor, Salman Ali, who claimed his mother needed help with some work.
The complainant stated that after reaching the house, she was allegedly assaulted, and the suspect also recorded a video of the incident. She further alleged that she was later blackmailed using the video and repeatedly assaulted under threats of harm to her children.
An FIR was registered on June 4 against three individuals, including the main suspect Salman Ali, Rafiq Shah, and an unidentified person.
Police confirmed that the main accused has obtained bail from the court, while the other two suspects remain at large. Investigations into the case are ongoing.
