40,000 Vehicles Blacklisted in Karachi Under Safe City Project; Action to Begin July 1

KARACHI: Sindh Police have blacklisted 40,000 vehicles in Karachi under the Safe City Project and announced that enforcement action against such vehicles will begin from July 1.

According to police officials, the blacklisted vehicles include those that have been sold but have not yet been officially transferred to the names of their new owners.

Authorities said vehicles with incomplete owner information have also been included in the blacklist. In addition, vehicles whose owners have failed to clear government dues or obligations are part of the list.

Police officials stated that the final list of blacklisted vehicles has been completed. They warned that such vehicles could be seized and their owners may face fines and other legal action.

The authorities urged citizens to immediately check their vehicle records through the Sindh Police portal. Vehicle owners have been advised to verify their status and complete the transfer of ownership before July 1 if their vehicles appear on the blacklist.

The initiative is part of broader efforts under the Safe City Project to improve vehicle registration records, strengthen law enforcement capabilities, and enhance public safety across Karachi.
