Murder Case Registered Against Arrested Drug Suspect Anmol Alias Pinky in Karachi
KARACHI: A murder case has been registered against Anmol alias Pinky, who was previously arrested in a narcotics-related case, at the Baghdadi police station in Karachi, officials confirmed.
According to details, the investigating officer submitted a provisional challan to the prosecution for scrutiny before it is formally presented before the judicial magistrate.
The interim challan states that on May 7, the complainant was passing through Haji Pir Muhammad Road on a motorcycle-related errand when he saw a body lying on the footpath, surrounded by a crowd of people.
The complainant further stated that with the help of rescue officials, the body was shifted to the Baghdadi police station via ambulance. During the initial inspection, police reportedly recovered a small box from the deceased’s pocket.
The challan claims that the recovered golden-colored box had inscriptions including “Queen Medium Pinky Don” and other text suggesting involvement in drug-related activity, after which Anmol alias Pinky was linked to drug sales.
The investigating officer stated that the investigation is still ongoing and that the interim challan is being submitted due to the completion of legal time limits.
Prosecution officials said the challan is currently under scrutiny, during which any investigative gaps or deficiencies will be addressed before it is formally submitted to the judicial magistrate.
Police said the murder case was registered at Baghdadi police station on the complaint of a local resident, Shehroz, from the Lines Area.
