Petrol and Diesel Shortage Disrupts Fuel Supply in Quetta, Long Queues Reported

Quetta (Khabar Desk) — A shortage of petrol and diesel has disrupted fuel supplies across Quetta, with many petrol stations temporarily shutting down and motorists facing long queues at pumps where fuel remains available.
According to Qayamuddin Agha, President of the Balochistan Petroleum Dealers Association, the situation arose after the district administration launched a crackdown on mini petrol pumps and ordered their closure. He said that following the shutdown of these outlets, a large number of consumers turned to fuel stations operated by major petroleum companies, causing a sharp increase in demand and resulting in shortages.
Agha added that fuel deliveries from petroleum companies were also delayed due to the Eid-ul-Adha holidays, further worsening the supply situation. He expressed hope that conditions would return to normal once fresh fuel stocks reach the city.
Meanwhile, long lines of vehicles were seen at several petrol stations across Quetta late into the night, making it difficult for residents to obtain petrol and diesel.
Citizens have urged the authorities to take immediate and effective measures to restore normal fuel supplies and prevent further inconvenience to the public.
