Saudi Arabia Rejects Trump’s Invitation to Join Abraham Accords

Islamabad (Special Correspondent) – Saudi Arabia has reportedly rejected US President Donald Trump’s call to join the Abraham Accords, taking a firm stance that normalization with Israel is not possible without the establishment of an independent Palestinian state.

According to international media reports, President Trump had urged Saudi Arabia to consider joining the Abraham Accords, stating that the time had come for Riyadh to move forward with normalization of ties with Israel.

However, in response, Saudi Arabia made it clear that its position on the Palestinian issue remains unchanged. The Saudi Foreign Ministry stated that any potential agreement with Israel would require a clear, credible, and irreversible path toward the establishment of a sovereign Palestinian state.

The statement further emphasized that relations with Israel could only be normalized if there are genuine guarantees for a two-state solution, arguing that lasting peace in the Middle East depends on a just and comprehensive settlement of the Palestinian issue.

Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman has repeatedly stated on various occasions that Saudi Arabia will not recognize Israel without the establishment of a Palestinian state.

A similar stance has also been echoed by Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud at the United Nations and other international platforms, reiterating that real stability in the region can only be achieved through the creation of an independent Palestinian state.

It is worth noting that President Donald Trump recently stated that Muslim countries linked to an Iran-related agreement should also be encouraged to join the Abraham Accords. He reportedly made the appeal during telephone conversations with Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Pakistan, Türkiye, and other countries.
