Trump Urges Caution in Iran Deal Talks, Says “Time Is on Our Side”

Islamabad (Qudrat Daily) — Former U.S. President Donald Trump has directed his representatives not to rush negotiations with Iran, stating that talks should proceed carefully as “time is on our side.”

In a statement posted on Truth Social, Trump said that one of the worst agreements ever made by the United States was the Iran nuclear deal under the Barack Obama administration, which he claimed effectively allowed Iran to pursue nuclear weapons development.

He said the current negotiations with Iran under his team are moving in a more structured and constructive manner, adding that his representatives have been instructed not to rush any agreement.

Trump also commented on developments related to the Strait of Hormuz, stating that restrictions would remain firmly in place until a final agreement is reached and properly signed by both sides.

He emphasized that both parties should take time to ensure the deal is done correctly, warning that there is no room for mistakes.

The former president further said that relations with Iran are becoming more professional and constructive, while reiterating that Iran must not be allowed to develop nuclear weapons.

Referring to the Abraham Accords, he thanked several Middle Eastern countries for their cooperation and said the agreements would become stronger if more nations join.

Trump also suggested that even the Islamic Republic of Iran might consider joining such agreements in the future.
