Lindsey Graham Urges Saudi Arabia to Join Abraham Accords, Calls Normalization “Inevitable

WASHINGTON: US Senator Lindsey Graham has called for Saudi Arabia to join the Abraham Accords, saying that normalization of relations with Israel is the next major step in Middle East diplomacy.

In an interview with a US television channel, Graham said Saudi Arabia should move toward normalizing ties with Israel and suggested that such a development could take place by 2026.

He added that broader regional participation in the Accords would ultimately depend on wider diplomatic shifts, including what he described as Iran’s potential involvement in the process.

Graham argued that long-term regional stability would require a broader framework in which multiple countries engage in normalization efforts. He said Iran could eventually become part of such arrangements, depending on future diplomatic outcomes between Washington and Tehran.

The senator emphasized that Saudi Arabia’s participation would represent a significant milestone in regional diplomacy and insisted that the time had come for Riyadh to take that step.
