Balochistan CM’s Education Reforms Praised, School Enrolment and Restoration Termed Major Success

Quetta (Qudrat Daily) — Political and social figure Arslan Sher has expressed full confidence in the performance of Chief Minister Balochistan Mir Sarfraz Bugti, stating that the provincial government has introduced comprehensive reforms in the education sector that are now producing positive results.
He said that enrolling more than 717,000 children in government schools over the past two years is a major achievement and reflects renewed public trust in the state education system.
According to him, 3,778 non-functional schools have been made operational again across the province, enabling thousands of children in remote and underdeveloped areas to return to education.
He added that the dropout rate has decreased by 5 percent, while student retention in schools has increased by 11 percent, marking significant improvement in the education sector.
Arslan Sher said the government has not only focused on restoring schools but has also ensured the provision of basic educational facilities, including the timely and transparent distribution of textbooks.
He noted that the provision of free textbooks in public schools has directly benefited children from poor and marginalized families and has helped maintain continuity in educational activities.
He further stated that measures have been introduced to ensure teacher attendance, strengthen school monitoring systems, and improve transparency through modern technological tools.
He added that special attention is being given to girls’ education, rural access to schooling, and equal educational opportunities to increase literacy rates and reduce educational gaps.
Arslan Sher praised the vision of Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti, saying these initiatives are steering Balochistan towards development, prosperity, and a stronger education system.
