Imran Khan’s Lawyer Barrister Salman Safdar Suffers Eye Disease, Unable to Pursue Appeals

Islamabad: Barrister Salman Safdar, lawyer for the founder of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf) and former Prime Minister Imran Khan, has reportedly developed an eye-related medical condition.
According to court proceedings, Salman Safdar has expressed his inability to actively pursue urgent appeals due to his health condition and has sought time for medical examination abroad for treatment of his eye disease.
During the hearing, Advocate Salman Akram Raja informed the court on behalf of Salman Safdar and stated that the lawyer is currently suffering from an eye ailment, making it difficult for him to continue immediate legal proceedings.
Salman Akram Raja subsequently requested additional time for filing and pursuing appeals related to the suspension of sentences in cases involving Imran Khan.
It is worth noting that Salman Akram Raja had previously alleged that Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi are facing serious health risks, claiming that Khan has been subjected to mistreatment and that his vision in one eye has been affected. He also stated that court orders regarding meetings with the couple are not being implemented properly.
