35 Terrorists Killed in Operation in Zarghoon Mountain Area, Claims Balochistan Government

QUETTA: At least 35 terrorists have been killed during an ongoing security operation in the Zarghoon mountain range area, according to the government of Balochistan.

Balochistan’s Assistant Chief Minister for Political and Media Affairs, Shahid Rind, said that security forces have achieved significant successes in the operation launched on May 13 in the Mangla Zarghoon Ghar area against militants identified as “New Peli” and “Fatah al-Hindustan.”

He stated that more than 35 terrorists have been killed during the operation, while several hideouts have also been destroyed.

According to the statement, three key commanders of the group have been arrested, and important intelligence has been recovered from them, which is being used to conduct further targeted operations.

Shahid Rind said that security forces are tightening the noose around facilitators and support networks of the militants, and additional operations are underway based on the information obtained.

He added that the state of Pakistan remains fully committed to eliminating terrorism and will continue operations with full resolve and determination until complete peace is restored.

He also urged the public to cooperate with security agencies, report suspicious activities, and play their role in the national fight against terrorism, stating that the entire nation stands with the armed forces in ensuring peace, stability, and development in the region.
