Mohammad Abbas Reaches Historic Milestone of 1,000 Career Wickets in Professional Cricket

ISLAMABAD: Pakistani fast bowler Mohammad Abbas has achieved a historic milestone by completing 1,000 wickets in professional cricket during the ongoing tour of Bangladesh.

The landmark moment came on the opening day of the Sylhet Test in Sylhet, where Abbas claimed his 1,000th wicket, adding another remarkable achievement to his career. The wicket also marked his 100th international wicket taken outside Pakistan.

Abbas has maintained consistent performances across all formats of the game. His tally includes 884 wickets in first-class cricket, 84 in List A matches, and 32 wickets in T20 cricket.

Earlier in the Dhaka Test in Dhaka, Abbas delivered a standout performance by taking six wickets in an innings. His recent form has further strengthened his reputation as one of Pakistan’s most reliable fast bowlers.

With this milestone, Abbas joins an elite group of bowlers who have achieved 1,000 or more wickets in professional cricket.
