“Our Falcons Dominated the Skies While Enemy Jets Turned Into Wreckage,” Says PM Shehbaz Sharif

Islamabad: Shehbaz Sharif said Pakistan’s armed forces delivered a historic response to what he described as India’s aggression, declaring that during the “Battle of Haq,” “our falcons dominated the skies while enemy aircraft were reduced to wreckage.”
He made the remarks during a special ceremony held at Pakistan Monument to mark one year of “Operation Bunyan-un-Marsoos.”
The event was attended by President Asif Ali Zardari, Field Marshal Asim Munir, the chiefs of the armed forces, senior civilian and military officials, foreign diplomats, and families of martyrs.
The ceremony began with the national anthem, followed by a march-past and salute by contingents of Pakistan’s three armed services. A one-minute silence was also observed in honor of those who sacrificed their lives for the country.
Addressing the gathering, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said Pakistan was thankful to Allah for the “great victory” in the Battle of Haq and paid tribute to the martyrs who laid down their lives in defense of the homeland.
He accused India of leveling baseless allegations against Pakistan following the Pahalgam incident and said Pakistan had offered an impartial investigation into the matter.
“We had warned the enemy about the consequences of any aggression, but the cowardly enemy imposed war on us,” he said.
“When our falcons struck the enemy, they feared for their survival. The summary of the Battle of Haq is simple — everywhere there was the dominance of our falcons and the wreckage of enemy aircraft.”
The Prime Minister claimed India was ultimately forced to request a ceasefire and added that even after one year, New Delhi had failed to present evidence regarding the alleged Pahalgam incident.
During his speech, Shehbaz Sharif announced that May 10 would officially be observed every year as “Youm-e-Marka-e-Haq” across Pakistan with national enthusiasm.
He praised the leadership of Field Marshal Asim Munir and also acknowledged the role of Zaheer Ahmed Babar Sidhu and the Pakistan Air Force, saying the Air Force had shattered the enemy’s claims of aerial superiority.
The Prime Minister also commended Naveed Ashraf and the Pakistan Navy for their role during the confrontation.
He thanked friendly countries, including Saudi Arabia, Turkey, and China, for supporting Pakistan diplomatically and politically during the conflict.
Shehbaz Sharif also thanked Donald Trump for playing a role in ending the war.
Speaking about regional diplomacy, the Prime Minister said Pakistan was actively working for peace in neighboring Iran and confirmed that Iran’s response to an American proposal had been received through diplomatic channels.
He reiterated Pakistan’s support for the people of Palestine and Kashmir and praised Pakistan’s sacrifices in the fight against terrorism.
He added that Pakistani youth remain the nation’s most valuable asset and highlighted the continued operations against militant groups.
