Balochistan: Four Killed in Tribal Clashes, Targeted Killings and Accidents; Three Coal Miners Abducted, Gas Pipeline Blown Up

Balochistan — The province witnessed a wave of violence, unrest and criminal incidents as tribal clashes, targeted killings, kidnappings and acts of sabotage left at least four people dead, including a woman and a vegetable seller, while several others were injured across multiple districts.
According to reports, violent incidents were recorded in areas including Jhal Magsi, Sohbatpur, Khuzdar, Bhaag, Dera Murad Jamali, Sui, Loralai, Sibi and Harnai, creating an atmosphere of fear and uncertainty.
In Jhal Magsi, two people were killed and several others injured in a deadly armed clash between rival groups over an old dispute. Police rushed to the scene and shifted the bodies and injured to hospital, while suspects fled.
In Sohbatpur, unidentified armed men shot dead a vegetable seller, triggering protests and a road blockade by traders and residents. The protest was later called off after assurances from authorities.
In another incident in Bhaag, a woman was killed in firing, while in Sibi, a man was seriously injured after being attacked with a knife by a relative.
Security concerns further escalated in Harnai where armed men abducted three coal miners from a mining site. Security forces launched a search operation in the area.
Separately, in Sohbatpur, unknown militants blew up an 8-inch gas pipeline using explosives, disrupting gas supply to nearby areas. Authorities sealed the area and launched an investigation.
Police also conducted operations in Khuzdar, arresting a drug smuggler and recovering 6 kilograms of narcotics along with a vehicle.
Meanwhile, a tragic accident in Loralai left one person dead when a dilapidated wall collapsed. In Sui, a sudden increase in stray dog attacks injured 22 people, including women and children, who were shifted to hospital for treatment.
Authorities have launched investigations into all incidents, while law enforcement agencies continue search operations and efforts to restore order across the affected regions.
