Gold Prices Surge Again in Pakistan, Rate Reaches Rs483,962 per Tola on May 1, 2026

Karachi: Gold prices in Pakistan witnessed another significant increase on May 1, 2026, with the price of 24-karat gold per tola rising by Rs4,400 to reach Rs483,962, according to the All Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Association.
The association reported that the price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold also increased by Rs3,772, climbing from Rs411,147 to Rs414,919. Similarly, the price of 10 grams of 22-karat gold rose from Rs376,898 to Rs380,356.
Meanwhile, the All Sindh Sarafa Jewellers Association stated that silver prices also recorded an upward trend. The price of silver per tola increased by Rs55 to Rs7,821, while the rate for 10 grams rose by Rs47 to Rs6,705.
Market analysts attribute the rise in local prices to increasing demand for precious metals and trends in the international market. Globally, gold prices also climbed, moving from $4,572 to $4,616 per ounce, reflecting continued volatility and investor interest in safe-haven assets.
