Government Extends Transport Subsidy for One Month to Provide Relief to Public

Islamabad (Khabar Daily) — Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has decided to extend the subsidy for motorcyclists, public transport, and goods transport for an additional month in light of the current economic conditions.
According to Express News, the decision aims to provide relief to the lower-income segment of society, which has been most affected by rising transportation costs.
The Prime Minister has also directed authorities to prevent any increase in fares for passenger and freight transport and emphasized the need for effective monitoring to ensure that the benefits of relief measures directly reach deserving individuals.
He stated that the federal government, in collaboration with provincial governments, has already provided a multi-billion-rupee national relief package for the public during difficult times and will continue efforts to support citizens as much as possible.
Shehbaz Sharif reiterated that providing relief to the common man remains the government’s top priority and assured that the public will not be left alone under any circumstances. He also expressed hope for improved regional conditions that could lead to stability in petroleum prices.
