Saba Faisal’s Remarks on Marriage and Trust Spark Online Debate

ISLAMABAD: Senior Pakistani actress Saba Faisal has stirred debate on social media after sharing candid views about marriage, trust, and relationships during a recent podcast appearance.
Recalling an incident from around 25 years ago, the actress said she once visited her husband’s office and introduced herself to a receptionist as “Mrs. Faisal.” She later learned from her husband that the receptionist had left her job, possibly because she had developed unexpressed feelings for him.
Sharing her perspective, Saba Faisal stated that a wife should be “strong enough” that another woman thinks many times before approaching her husband.
She also commented on trust in relationships, suggesting that some women tend to become overly suspicious, especially when their husbands are financially stable. Drawing a comparison with television dramas, she noted that such behavior is often exaggerated in fictional portrayals, including roles she has played.
The actress further remarked that financial stability can sometimes influence men’s behavior, adding that some may feel tempted to seek attention outside the home while continuing to fulfill family responsibilities.
Addressing women who doubt their spouses, she advised maintaining calm and trust, saying that ultimately a husband returns to his family, emphasizing the importance of stability and understanding in marriage.
