Major Healthcare Initiative Launched in Balochistan with Chinese Support

QUETTA: A major healthcare initiative aimed at improving maternal and newborn health services has been launched in Balochistan with the support of China.
Under the project, healthcare facilities in 100 hospitals across seven districts of the province will be upgraded to ensure better care for mothers and newborns.
Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti expressed gratitude to the Chinese government for its cooperation, describing the project as a strong example of Pakistan-China friendship and mutual collaboration.

He stated that the initiative would ensure improved care for mothers and children, adding that maternal and child health has been made a top priority in the province.
The chief minister emphasized the government’s commitment to providing better healthcare facilities to the public, noting that joint efforts are being made to improve services across multiple sectors.
He further remarked that Pakistan-China friendship guarantees progress and prosperity, and such initiatives will play a vital role in public welfare.
