Actress Meera Declines to Discuss Personal Life Amid Marriage and Scandal Controversies

Lahore: Pakistani film actress Meera has refused to comment on controversies related to her alleged marriages and past scandals, stating that she prefers to focus on her professional work rather than her private life.
During a podcast interview with host Rehan Tariq on a private TV channel, the actress was questioned about various controversies, including claims made in 2007 by a Faisalabad-based businessman, Sheikh Atiq ur Rehman, who had asserted that Meera was his wife.
In response, Meera said she had no recollection of such claims and distanced herself from the matter. When the host mentioned that a court had also addressed the issue, she maintained that she had no connection to the controversy and declined to comment on the court’s decision.

When asked directly about her marital status, Meera stated that she has not been married, reiterating that the allegations are not based on reality.
The host also referred to other controversies, including a viral video involving an individual named Naveed. However, the actress firmly declined to discuss the matter, emphasizing her stance on privacy.
“I do not want to talk about my personal life,” she said. “With respect, I am not among those who sell their private life on television for money or ratings. I believe we should focus on our work and promote our professional achievements.”
Her remarks have once again sparked discussion about the boundaries between public figures’ personal lives and their professional careers.
