Islamabad:Pakistan marked its 78th Independence Day with great enthusiasm and national pride. At the stroke of midnight, cities across the country welcomed August 14 with spectacular fireworks. Streets were filled with joyous crowds, and homes and public buildings were adorned with green flags and colorful lights.

– **Tributes at Iqbal’s Mausoleum**:
– Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz paid tribute at the mausoleum of Allama Iqbal, laying a floral wreath and offering prayers. She also honored Iqbal by raising the national flag at the Alamgiri Gate of the Lahore Fort.
