Trump Hints at Surprise White House Visit, Reiterates Tough Stance on Iran

Washington: U.S. President Donald Trump has hinted at a possible “surprise” as he announced that a “very good, smart, and caring personality” will visit the White House, with a news conference expected to follow.

Speaking to media representatives, Trump said the development could bring something positive for the United States, though he did not disclose further details about the visiting individual.

On foreign policy, Trump reiterated his firm stance on Iran, stating that the country would not be allowed to possess nuclear weapons. He emphasized that preventing Iran from becoming a nuclear power remains a key priority.

He added that while Iran continues to make various statements, the U.S. position remains unchanged. Trump also indicated that a ceasefire extension with Iran may not be guaranteed.

Regarding nuclear arrangements, he said no specific timeline could be given for transferring nuclear materials, but noted that after an agreement, Iran would be given time and cooperation could take place to move nuclear assets to the United States. He warned that if such cooperation is not achieved, alternative measures would be taken, which he described as potentially “very unfriendly.”

Trump further stated that Iran would not be permitted to impose restrictions or fees on traffic through the Strait of Hormuz.
