Pakistan Announces Major Relief as Diesel Price Cut by Rs. 32.12 per Litre

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has approved a significant reduction in the price of high-speed diesel, providing what officials are calling another major relief for the public amid ongoing inflationary pressures.
According to the announcement, the price of diesel has been reduced by Rs. 32.12 per litre. Following the approval, the new price has been set at Rs. 353.43 per litre, down from the previous rate of Rs. 385.54 per litre.
The decision was made as part of the government’s effort to pass on the benefits of declining global oil prices directly to consumers. Officials stated that the move aims to ease the financial burden on the public, particularly on transport and agriculture sectors that are heavily dependent on diesel.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif reiterated that providing economic relief to citizens remains a top priority, and the government will continue to transfer the positive impact of international fuel price trends to the public as quickly as possible.
