Iran Demands $270 Billion War Reparations After Failed Islamabad Talks, Accuses Gulf States of Supporting US-Israel

Islamabad: The collapse of ceasefire negotiations held in Islamabad between Iran and the United States has triggered a new and more dangerous escalation in regional tensions, with Iran reportedly demanding massive war reparations from several Gulf countries.
According to emerging reports, Iran has accused five regional states—Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Bahrain, and Jordan—of providing military support to the United States and Israel during the recent conflict. Tehran has now formally demanded compensation for alleged damages.
Iran’s representative to the United Nations, Amir Saeid Iravani, stated that any regional country that played a role in the conflict against Iran must be held accountable and required to pay reparations.
Separately, Iranian government spokesperson Fatemeh Mohajerani told Russian news agency RIA Novosti that the estimated damages caused by US and Israeli strikes have reached approximately $270 billion. She added that the figure is preliminary and subject to further assessment as evaluations continue.
Officials also claimed that the issue of war reparations was strongly raised by the Iranian delegation during the Islamabad talks, although no agreement was reached due to disagreements over sensitive issues such as Iran’s nuclear program and control of the Strait of Hormuz.
The talks reportedly ended without any breakthrough, as both sides failed to bridge key differences.
International analysts warn that Iran’s unprecedented demand for large-scale reparations could further escalate tensions in the Middle East and create prolonged instability in global energy markets.
They caution that the situation may lead to a new wave of geopolitical uncertainty if diplomatic efforts fail to resume constructive dialogue.
