113 Sheep Die in Cholistan Desert After Overeating Wheat Near Qila Derawar

Bahawalpur: A tragic incident occurred in the Cholistan Desert near Dilosh Dhar, close to Qila Derawar, where 113 sheep died after consuming a large quantity of wheat.
According to the Director of Livestock, the herd, which was hungry and thirsty, had entered a harvested wheat field. The deaths occurred due to overeating the wheat.
The herd consisted of over 600 sheep, most of which remained unharmed.
The Livestock Department confirmed that the deaths were not caused by any mysterious disease. The investigative report identified “grain overload” as the reason for the fatalities.
