Balochistan CM Sarfraz Bugti Pays Tribute to Zulfikar Ali Bhutto on 47th Death Anniversary

Quetta:** Chief Minister of Balochistan Mir Sarfraz Bugti paid tribute to Zulfikar Ali Bhutto on his 47th death anniversary, describing him as a visionary, people-centric leader who laid strong foundations for Pakistan’s political, constitutional, and defense structure.
In his statement, Bugti said that Pakistan’s nuclear strength, which makes the country’s defense “invincible,” was initiated by Bhutto. He added that Bhutto empowered the masses through constitutional reforms and transformed politics from an elite-driven system into one that represents the people.
He noted that under Bhutto’s leadership, citizens were given the true power of the vote, national institutions were strengthened, and policymaking began to reflect public aspirations.
The chief minister further stated that Bhutto made historic decisions regarding national defense, the nuclear program, and sovereignty, significantly enhancing Pakistan’s global standing. He said Bhutto’s visionary leadership continues to guide the country’s foreign policy, international relations, and development path.
Bugti also highlighted Bhutto’s role in promoting unity in the Muslim world, supporting the Palestinian cause, and fostering cooperation among developing nations, adding that his absence is still felt in addressing global challenges faced by the Muslim Ummah.
He said the provincial government is following Bhutto’s vision by focusing on transparent governance, improved service delivery, and public welfare initiatives in Balochistan. He reaffirmed the government’s commitment to achieving development, prosperity, and stability, ensuring better opportunities and a brighter future for the people of the province.
Concluding, Bugti emphasized that the sacrifices and vision of national leaders serve as a guiding principle for promoting public welfare, equality, and justice—key elements for the progress and stability of both Balochistan and Pakistan.
