Pakistani Athlete Sets Unique Push-Up Record for Third Time

Islamabad: A Pakistani athlete has once again made history by setting a remarkable world record, performing 66 thumb push-ups in one minute while balancing on one leg.

According to Guinness World Records, the achievement was accomplished by Muhammad Rashid, who has already broken more than 14 world records.

Rashid attempted this record in May 2025, aiming to achieve the highest number of thumb push-ups in one minute while keeping one leg raised. His effort successfully secured him the record for the third time.

Speaking about the challenge, Muhammad Rashid said that thumb push-ups are among the most difficult exercises, requiring exceptional strength, balance, and mental focus. He added that the uniqueness of the exercise motivated him to pursue it.

He further explained that maintaining balance on his thumbs while keeping one leg bent at a 90-degree angle was one of the toughest aspects of his training.

His achievement has once again highlighted Pakistan’s presence in the field of extraordinary physical endurance and record-breaking feats.
