Mohammad Ali Credits Team Effort After Hyderabad Kingsmen Defeat Multan Sultans

Hyderabad — Fast bowler Mohammad Ali of Hyderabad Kingsmen emphasized the importance of collective performance in cricket, stating that “every match cannot be a one-man show,” following his team’s four-wicket victory over Multan Sultans.

Speaking at a post-match press conference, Ali said the team initially struggled due to an unsettled combination but found momentum after arriving in Karachi. He added that their chances of qualifying for the playoffs have now significantly improved.

Despite early losses, Ali noted that the team environment remained positive. He highlighted the presence of aggressive batters in the lineup, explaining that Marnus Labuschagne has been playing an anchor role. He also praised Usman Khan, whose innings put the team in a winning position.

Commenting on Saim Ayub, Ali said the young batter just needs one strong innings to regain form.

Ali further explained that deliveries in the 110–115 km/h range proved effective on the pitch, and the team made good use of the final four overs in both innings. He credited the coaching staff for consistently backing the players, which played a key role in their comeback.

He also acknowledged the leadership and guidance of Glenn Maxwell, saying his presence has been valuable for the dressing room.

Ali concluded by stating that he does not judge batters by reputation, treating every opponent with equal importance.

Hyderabad Kingsmen secured the win by four wickets, with Usman Khan earning Player of the Match honors for his century.
