Government Employees to Receive March Salaries and Pensions Before Eid

With only about ten days left before Eid al-Fitr, the government has decided to provide major relief to public sector employees in Pakistan.

According to reports, the federal and provincial governments—including those in Punjab and Sindh—have decided that all serving and retired government employees will receive their **March salaries, pensions, and allowances before Eid**.

Under the announcement, Muslim government employees and pensioners, including those working on **work-charged and contingent-paid posts**, will receive their full salaries, pensions, and allowances on **March 16, 2026**.

Authorities have directed all government departments to complete payroll and pension processing without delay so that payments can be transferred to employees’ and pensioners’ accounts before the Eid holidays begin.

According to predictions, Muslims in Pakistan are expected to complete **30 days of fasting in Ramadan**, with Eid al-Fitr likely to fall on **Saturday, March 21** this year.
