PKMAP Condemns Reduction of Medical Quota for FATA and Balochistan Students

**Quetta, Daily Qudrat** – The Pashtunkhwa Milli Awami Party (PKMAP) has strongly criticized the government for failing to fully restore the medical scholarship quota for students from FATA and Balochistan, calling the decision “anti-education” and warning that it will deprive hundreds of talented students of higher education opportunities.
According to a press release issued by the PKMAP provincial secretariat, in 2018 the Higher Education Commission and the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) had allocated 333 medical seats for FATA and Balochistan, with a promise to increase the number to 666 within five years. However, instead of fulfilling this commitment, the government has reduced the seats to 121, causing a sense of deprivation among students from these regions.
The party emphasized that it will continue to raise its voice on every platform to ensure the restoration of the medical seats for FATA and Balochistan students. PKMAP has also demanded that the government provide special facilities to students from underdeveloped areas and restore medical seats to alleviate the growing frustration among the youth.
