Governor Balochistan Meets Officials of Balochi, Pashto, Brahui and Hazaragi Academies

**Quetta:** Jaffar Khan Mandokhail met a delegation of officials from the Balochi, Pashto, Brahui and Hazaragi language academies at the Governor House in Quetta to discuss the promotion and preservation of regional languages.

Speaking on the occasion, the governor said that the languages spoken in the region are not merely a means of communication but represent centuries of cultural heritage and traditions. He emphasized that these languages connect generations and help preserve the historical and cultural identity of communities.

Mandokhail stated that his family has maintained a long-standing relationship with literary academies, literary societies, and educational institutions throughout his 40-year political career. He said they have regularly supported these organizations financially, attended their programs, and extended cooperation whenever they faced challenges.

He added that the provincial government values the voluntary services of writers and linguists who work tirelessly to promote and protect their mother tongues and cultural heritage.

During the meeting, members of the delegation informed the governor about their concerns and demands regarding the **Balochistan Languages, Academies and Societies Act 2025**, recently introduced by the provincial cabinet.

The governor listened to the delegation’s concerns attentively and assured them of his full cooperation in addressing their issues and finding lasting solutions to support the development and protection of regional languages in Balochistan.
