PkMAP Demands Transfer of Corrupt Officials as Crime and Corruption Surge in Loralai
Loralai:The Pashtunkhwa Milli Awami Party (PkMAP) has issued a press release condemning the rise in crime and corruption in Loralai since the recent transfers of the SSP and Deputy Commissioner. The party highlighted that incidents of theft, robbery, and other crimes have increased significantly in the area. They accused security personnel on Dera Ghazi Khan Road of openly soliciting bribes and reported a rise in criminal activities and drug trafficking with apparent government protection.
The release further criticized the rampant corruption across all government departments in Loralai. It noted that schools are closed, teachers are absent, and educational facilities are lacking. The Teaching Hospital Loralai is reported to be completely non-functional, lacking doctors, medical care, and medication. Public Health services are failing to provide water, with ongoing large-scale corruption. Similarly, the Buildings and Roads (B&R) and Irrigation departments are noted for their absence of staff and rampant corruption. The Agriculture department, in particular, is highlighted for its extreme corruption, with officials from the Commissioner to ordinary clerks allegedly involved in corruption and extortion.
The press release alleges that officials from the Chief Minister’s Office, Chief Secretary, Secretary, NAB, and Anti-Corruption agencies are reportedly demanding their share of bribes and even suggesting that media outlets receive bribes to suppress negative news.
PkMAP has called for the immediate transfer of the current Deputy Commissioner, SSP, and other corrupt officials from Loralai. They warned that if their demands are not met, they will launch a vigorous public movement against corruption in collaboration with All Parties and file a petition against corrupt officials in the Loralai High Court.
