PKNAP Welcomes Supreme Court Verdict Declaring Khushal Khan Kakar Winner from NA-251

Islamabad: The Pashtunkhwa National Awami Party (PKNAP) has welcomed what it termed a historic verdict by the Supreme Court of Pakistan regarding NA-251 (Zhob, Qila Saifullah and Sherani), declaring the party’s chairman Khushal Khan Kakar as the returned candidate.

According to a party statement, a three-member bench comprising Justice Shahid Waheed, Justice Naeem Akhtar Afghan and Justice Shakeel Ahmed issued the ruling in connection with the NA-251 constituency.

PKNAP described the decision as a victory of truth and justice, stating that it reflects the apex court’s firm belief in the supremacy of the Constitution and the rule of law. The party said the judgment strengthens democratic values and restores the sanctity of the public mandate.

The statement added that the people of NA-251 had expressed their trust in Khushal Khan Kakar, and the court’s ruling has now validated that mandate. The party paid tribute to the respected judges of the Supreme Court for delivering what it called a courageous and fair judgment.

PKNAP also congratulated the voters, workers and democratic forces of the constituency, stating that the success represents not just an individual victory but a triumph of democracy, constitutional supremacy and the people’s right to rule.

The party reiterated that Khushal Khan Kakar will raise his voice in the National Assembly for the rights of oppressed nations, the Pashtun people, provincial resources, constitutional autonomy and democratic supremacy, while striving to address the issues of the region at every forum.

The case was argued before the Supreme Court by senior lawyer Salman Akram Raja, along with Sabir Advocate and others, the statement added.
